What’s up with Deutsche Bank?
Feng shui and the recent accidents near ground zero…
The Deutsche Bank building, across the street from ground zero in New York, has been plagued with problems. Two firefighters lost their lives there last week, and today two more have been severely hurt. The building has been under construction since it was badly damaged on 9/11.
When a building is as plagued with bad luck as this one, it is worth looking at the Feng Shui of the space.
First, a quick note on feng shui calculations. A feng shui building analysis is made up of two factors: time and direction. The exact compass direction of a building, and the current calendar year, combine to form a series of numeric calculations that act as a kind of “energy blueprint” which pinpoints the strengths and weaknesses of the building. The goal of feng shui is to take advantage of the good aspects and neutralize any weak spots, so that we are fully supported by our environment.
A Feng Shui reading of the Deutsche Bank building shows that this year, 2007, the building has a feng shui calculation of 2/2: A high likelihood of sickness or accidents.
For the record, in September, 2001 the Deutsche Bank building had a calculation of 2/5: This is the most critical calculation in feng shui: disease, accidents, or death is likely.
If a new building is erected on this site, the structure should be repositioned so that the feng shui reading is strong for health and well being.
In my opinion, I feel the entire ground zero site should not be rebuilt. Feng shui has two branches: yin and yang. Yang feng shui addresses the dwellings of the living: homes, businesses, etc. Yin addresses the dwellings of the dead: cemeteries.
On 9/11, this area went from Yang energy to Yin energy.
This ground is now a graveyard. Those who have passed should be respected and a memorial site should be created. If New Yorkers wish to rebuild the World Trade Center, they should consider moving its location a strong Yang setting – an area full of life - such as a park. I recall in the months after 9/11 hearing one proposal to use Battery Park as the new WTC location. This is a good idea…although please, please, New York, have a feng shui master review the new plans prior to construction. Why not get all the support you can?
